On Thursday, June 26th 2025 we bade a formal farewell to the 32 pupils from 6th class who were leaving us to go to second level.
The morning began with an End of Year Prayer Service in St Fintan's Church, to which all the school and local community were invited. Unfortunately Fr Joe was unable to join us to celebrate Mass due to ill-health.
After the prayer service, the 6th class pupils and their families were invited back to the school hall, where a graduation ceremony was excellently compered by two 6th class pupils. Ms Kavanagh's Ukelele group entertained. Some pupils read their favourite memories, gave speeches and all enjoyed the slideshow of photographs that had been prepared by Ms Saunders. Mr Crone presented Lily Gavin, Liam Meade, Sean Lynch and Kiara Duff Pender with sports people of the year awards, and Ms Bennett presented Teresa Gilligan with the Student of the Year award. All of the children received their Graduation Certificates. Refreshments had been supplied by 4th and 5th class children, and tea and coffee was served by Sarah, Dolores and Mary.
We wish all our 6th class pupils well in their future adventures!
