Derrylamogue V Ballyfin
Ladies football Cumann na mBunscoil Match reports
It was on the 10th of September 2019 that we had our first Cuman Na Mbunscoil match. We left the school at 12:15 and drove to Derrymalogue versus Ballyfin match. In the first half we were winning. We scored a few points but then later in the game we scored a goal! When the first half ended, we were winning by a goal and many points. Before the second half we got a drink, and then the referee blew the whistle the game started. Early in the game the first game , there team scored a goal and then a few points but we were still winning. We ran down the field and scored another goal! After that we scored a few more points and the game was finished. We were delighted with our great victory.
Thursday 19th September
Ballyfin v Emo
Cumann na mBunscoil report 2 (girls)
On 19th of September, Ballyfin 5th and 6th class girls played Emo in Cumann na mBunscoil football. It was our second match. The starting team was Caoimhe in goals, Ruby, Eimear and Orla in backs, Sophie and Aine in midfield and in forwards was Jessica, Fiona and Nancy. Fiona was the captain. The team was changed up a little bit and by the end of the first half, Ballyfin were down by a point.
In the second half, there were a few injuries. Emo were VERY rough. We were all trying our best and we were fighting hard but in the end, we lost. The final score was 5-9 to 3-6. In the end we were all tied and sore, but at least we played our best.
Thursday 26th September
The Rock v Ballyfin
The Rock VS Ballyfin Game 3
The match took place in the The Rock GAA grounds. We left at around 12:15. When we got to the pitch we got changed in the dressing rooms and then we did our streches. When the game begun The Rock got the first touch of the ball and scored a point. Our goalkeeper kicked out the ball and one of our players got the ball and hand passed it but a player from the other team got it. We got the ball back and almost scored a point but sadly missed. After that The Rock scored a few goals and points so we were down a good bit by then. At this stage it was half time.
We all knew that we had go back onto the pitch and try harder,thats what we did. In the end The Rock won,infact they hammered us but atleast we came of the pitch knowing that, even if they scored about 4 goals and alot of points and we scored one or two goals and a few points,we still gave it all we got!!!
Thursday 3rd October
Ballyfin v The Heath
Match against the Heath- Game 4
Today the 7-10-19 the girla Cumana mBunscoil team played against the Heath at around 1 o’clock. I was the captain and it was a home game in Ballyfin. The game started and the ref threw up the ball. About five minutes into the game the Heath scored the first point of the match. The ball kept on going up the pitch and then back down again. We’d get the ball, they’d get the ball, we’d score, they’d score. There was a few goals scored from both teams. At half we were down by 3 points. Then in the second half we scored another 2 goals yet they scored a few goals aswell. In the end they won by a few goals, it was a great match though.
