Congratulations and thanks to everyone involved in the Parents' Association Spring Raffle and cake sale, which raised over 5000 euro. We are very appreciative of all those who supported the fundraiser. Congratulations to Sinead Coyne, who won the first prize- dinner for two in Ballyfin House.
A huge thanks to Bruce and the Thompson family for inviting the junior and senior infants to their dairy farm in Camcloon on Thursday last. The children had a great day and learned loads!
Thanks to Richard and the Duff family for giving us access to their live camera feed from their nestboxes in Deerpark, and for showing the infants around on Thursday. It's really fascinating to see such wonderful wildlife up close.
6th class had a great day at their Confirmation retreat on Tuesday last, and we are very grateful to Fr Joe and the parish for sponsoring the cost of the retreat. They are all looking forward to the visit of Bishop Nulty for the Confirmation Ceremony on Friday next, at 2.30pm.
Well done to both our boys' and girls' hurling and camogie teams, who had great wins over Emo and The Rock on April 18th.
GAA coaching for all the school is now taking place on Wednesdays. Thanks to Dan, and to Ballyfin GAA club for facilitating this.
