Well done to Hugh Keating, Anne Marie Galvin, Juliet Carroll and Cathal O'Rourke who represented the school so well at the inter-schools Chess Tournament in The Rock National School on February 9th, 2024. A huge thank you to Mr Liam Aherne, and all the staff and pupils at The Rock NS for the work they put into organising the competition, and the welcome they gave us.
CHESS LEAGUES 2019/2020
All the children in 3rd,4th,5th and 6th Class were shown how to play chess by Mr. Moloney.
Once the children had a good grasp of the rules and some practice, the Chess Leagues began. The children were very skilful and competitive! Most importantly they enjoyed the experience.
