Biodiversity workshops April 2021
In April 2021 senior infants and first class had a really informative zoom call with Michele who taught us al about biodiversity. Before the zoom call we went on a biodiversity walk around our school to spot all the different types of flora and fauna on our school grounds. We were absolutely amazed to find so many different plants growing all around us. We told Michele what we had seen and she helped us to draw 4 pictures. First class drew a dandelion, bluebell, butterfly and ladybird.
Our artwork is now on display in our classroom to help remind us about biodiversity in Ballyfin.
Third class had a zoom call with Michele which told them all about rocks and soils, this was really informative and had lots of facts and information to help us get to know our own locality a little bit better.
