We had so much fun all week learning about science and carrying out fun experiments. We got to go to 6th class on Thursday and they showed us some really exciting experiments. We had a great week!

Skittles experimeNT
We loved this experiment because it was so colourful! We watched carefully as the water dissolved the sugar in the sweets and they lost their colour. The colours all came together to make beautiful patterns. We used cold and hot water to see if there was any difference- we also tried smarties!
Creating cARBON dIOXIDE!
We created a gas called carbon dioxide when we mixed baking powder and vinegar- an acid and a base. We added some different food colouring to make it look more exciting! We loved watching it explode but we didnt really like the smell!!
