As part of the 'Dare to Believe' programme, which provides school children with an opportunity to meet Olympic athletes, boxer Gráinne Walsh visited the school on April 22nd 2024 and spoke to Fifth Class.
Gráinne told the children about her life and her boxing career. They were very interested to hear about all the places she has travelled to for boxing matches, and about the injuries, particularly to her hands, that she has suffered. They played a number of games outside with her afterwards, including one that involved passing a replica Olympic Torch.
